Set in a former coaching inn, the County Hotel is in the centre of Kendal, just 100 metres from Kendal Railway Station. The hotel offers traditional meals and cooked breakfasts. The bright and airy bedrooms each have a cosy seating area and a private bathroom. Rooms also feature tea/coffee facilities and a work desk, and some have original features. The County Hotel features a spacious dining room, which serves full English breakfasts and a varied evening menu. Kendal sits between the beautiful Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The County is just 15 minutes’ drive from Lake Windermere, and Morecambe Bay is a 20-minute drive away.
